I can recommend Hostbill over WHMCS. It runs since years without issues, their support is fast and you get updates every week. You can start with the licence "Startup", around 600 USD one time, which comes with a lot of integrations for standard panels etc. Every year their licence is around 99 USD for support and updates.
The module for Enhance is 99 USD, but works perfectly and everything is seamless integrated. When I think back on WHMCS years ago, it was a mess, when a 3rd party module update crashes everything or simply not work anymore.
Since 2017 I need only 2 Tickets (from a 10 included).

Just to make things more clear regarding hostbill.

Updates : 125$ ( support not included)
1 ticket is : 90$ ( the more u pay, cheaper the ticket becomes) 10 tickets -> 700$

If your package does not include the module you can by them separately. each module has a price. majority are 99 while others are more. usually modules come in 2 flavors:
encoded : ₉₉$, not encoded: 300$

If you need a developer license its 1000$

twest upmind is 100% production ready for a hosting and domain selling company. The free version is the best deal possible, and outstrips blesta if you don’t need more than three modules. However their recent pricing is very whmcs like, development slow and they are not very transparent with customers. I’m running it in the background to track development, but at the moment I can’t see us moving from whmcs. Upmind migrator from whmcs is fantastic. Let’s see what v2 brings end December

Api doesn't work, and you do not keep your own data.. if something happens to them is gone, also that might be an issue with confidentiality , i prefer any self Hosted solution over them

gmakhs don’t get me wrong, there is a lot I’m not keen on, but the saas/pas model is really attractive. Exporting isn’t easy but can be done

Seconding to avoid Upmind for now, it’s really not production ready no matter who tries to convince you otherwise. You wait 1-2 days for support, if they even respond. The platform right now is very buggy, API is poorly documented and doesn’t work most of the time and is over 600ms per request.

I think they should offer an export process back to WHMCS or alike before you try Upmind because once you’re with Upmind they won’t let you actually access all the data of your customers to export properly.

Does Hostbill support installing custom modules? We have some 3rd party modules in WHMCS.

Jus bought a Clientexec owned license with their Black Friday discount. Love it. From what I understand the Enhance plugin works fine with a few bugs. But the devs are really responsive via Discord.
