Whmcs alternative - Blesta, WiseCP or ClientExec?

twest upmind is 100% production ready for a hosting and domain selling company. The free version is the best deal possible, and outstrips blesta if you don’t need more than three modules. However their recent pricing is very whmcs like, development slow and they are not very transparent with customers. I’m running it in the background to track development, but at the moment I can’t see us moving from whmcs. Upmind migrator from whmcs is fantastic. Let’s see what v2 brings end December

Api doesn't work, and you do not keep your own data.. if something happens to them is gone, also that might be an issue with confidentiality , i prefer any self Hosted solution over them

gmakhs don’t get me wrong, there is a lot I’m not keen on, but the saas/pas model is really attractive. Exporting isn’t easy but can be done

Seconding to avoid Upmind for now, it’s really not production ready no matter who tries to convince you otherwise. You wait 1-2 days for support, if they even respond. The platform right now is very buggy, API is poorly documented and doesn’t work most of the time and is over 600ms per request.

I think they should offer an export process back to WHMCS or alike before you try Upmind because once you’re with Upmind they won’t let you actually access all the data of your customers to export properly.

I've had a lot of problems with WHMCS in the past, so I'm considering Clientexec and HostBill.

Does Hostbill support installing custom modules? We have some 3rd party modules in WHMCS.

Andrei i am not sure, though i believe they do, but Blesta does and its a good alternative

Jus bought a Clientexec owned license with their Black Friday discount. Love it. From what I understand the Enhance plugin works fine with a few bugs. But the devs are really responsive via Discord.

Andrei I have it installed and setup mostly. Still working on other parts of my infrastructure atm so I haven't had the chance to see how well it works with Enhance. Currently, I love it. It's super simple and would recommend.

It doesn't have the amount of plugins that whmcs does, but, it really doesn't matter to much as Clientexec has the 'main' ones. If you have the skill set to edit the software to your liking its even better. Plus the creators are very active on Discord for questions and feeback.

I'm using upmind for the last 2 years, missing some features like decent payment gateways. Been asking for them since the first moment I'm using upmind and no update yet.
Development for upmind is really slow, I like the interface and modern look.. just too much is missing at the moment.

I've been looking around for other alternatives, didn't step over. It's annoying for clients to be moved around on billing panels.

I used to use WISECP, but their development team is SO SLOW. Like unbelievably slow. A modern spin on WHMCS but unfortunately has the same pitfalls as WHMCS.

We're happy with Upmind! A very promising WHMCS alternative that is highly available/scalable, great features.
