Enhance used to be a fantastic platform before the invasion of impatient users who throw tantrums at every release delay as if they were waiting for Santa Claus. Some even go as far as calling unforeseen issues “excuses” or using other absurdities more fitting for a gossip forum than a professional environment.
A release of this scale is a serious, complex process that takes as much time as needed. Release dates are always indicative, if you don’t understand that, maybe this industry isn’t for you. We’re all waiting for something (I, for instance, am waiting for Node.js), but you won’t see me complaining every five seconds on the forum. Instead, I evaluate whether these delays justify looking for alternatives. And every time, my answer is a clear NO.
Enhance, despite its roadmap delays and limitations, remains an incredibly convenient platform for us. I would never go back to cPanel. Adam and his team provide one of the most professional and efficient support experiences I’ve seen. Yet, instead of appreciating this, part of the community chooses to act childishly, creating unnecessary pressure rather than offering constructive feedback. Ironically, this community’s behavior is the real weak point of the ecosystem.
If I were Adam, I’d do what many others do when facing an out-of-control community: turn February 10 into ‘It’s ready when it’s ready.’
Sorry for the rant, but at this point, it really feels like a daycare.
