AdamR I also followed the procedure exactly but for some sites backups where not visible anymore and I did not see that new backups where created.

I tried to solve it myself and I chose to delete my backups manually. I only migrated about 30 sites to my enhance cluster so I could afford that risk.

One thing what is changed: the creation of a backup is currently not visible in the logs so it might help to check for some sites what actually happened in your backup folder and check the appcd logs.

mbe81 I have been monitoring backup folders via SSH and the epoch unix timestamps and I'm not seeing any new backups. We should have new backups on all of our websites by now. Doesn't seem to matter if they were part of the "useradd" and "chown" or not. Where do you find the appcd logs?

installing php libraries is easier now or we still have to wait for enhance to release it?

PHP uses Enhance lightweight containers, as it has since version 8.0.0, nothing has changed. You can use pecl in /opt/ecp-phpXX/bin/pecl (where XX is your PHP version for example ecp-php81) to install custom modules. You can then reference them in the php.ini with the extension directive. We will be releasing a wrapper tool for this soon.

AdamR On the source server you can view them with the following command:

journalctl -e -f -u appcd

When a backup is started you can should see in the log a new public/private key is created.

This is awesome. There's plenty of space and bandwidth available, but for example for one of the sites (6.5GB) the 3-hourly 14-day backups went from taking up 8GB to taking up 140GB in 3 days. I can imagine that being a showstopper for any large hosting provider.

Is that the same issue as not being able to restore the website backups?

I believe that a good strategy will be to wait until the latest 12.0.X will be a week old.

gmakhs Im not in hurry just asking, im still observing.. so many rapid changes happening its hard to keep track of whats been fixed and what is in queue.. once it is tried and tested that every production feature will be operational smoothly then we will start preping for upgrade..

pratik_asabe my opinion is just wait it out until no more releases are coming for few days, there are a lot of reported issues, which the team works on fast track no complains about that, but not worth losing your sleep over

bgeek Good to know, thanks for the ping back after this fix i can have more peace haha and the majority of the big bugs are then fixed on my side if i don't encounter something else.

Exactly, that’s the right move. When no more releases come out for a few days, it’s a good time to jump in. I wouldn’t recommend waiting for version 12.1 like some are planning.

Do not update to the new version v12 in any way.

Wait 1 to 2 weeks.

There are several bugs. The backup system is not 100%.

There is also a bug in the enhance panel. Some customers during the day report problems such as the database disappearing, etc.

Definitely allow 1-2 weeks for all issues to be fixed.

franco Backup will be fixed today if it all goes to planned. But have to see if it's 100% fix.

Also keep in mind that Enhance is a small team and priced very well this is something that people overlook sometimes.

I expected bugs, but not in the amount I'm seeing. There are bugs everywhere and in different functions.

From generating a backup, to two-factor authentication, disappearing databases, crashes when suspending accounts and reactivating accounts, errors when trying to change an email password.

Now it's time to report and hope they fix this as soon as possible.

The lesson is: if it was launched today, wait 1 month to update. hahaha

franco It's kinda crazy there's already been 15 patches and there are still bugs to iron out, but I'm glad the Enhance team is quick with updates.
