I read somewhere that now the local MTA is used so you should set the HELO name, the reverse DNS and update your SPF records accordingly. I see it is not in the release notes but it was ~~somewhere on the forum~~ in the upgrade guide: https://enhance.com/docs/getting-started/upgrading-from-v11.html#system-generated-emails

System generated emails
System generated emails (forgotten passwords and user invites) are no longer sent through a separate MTA, they are sent through the system MTA (via Postfix's sendmail drop-in). They will obey any smart host settings configured on the control panel server.

At the moment I have identified the following problems already reported for Enhance:

Unable to create FTP user
Unable to edit cron
It is not possible to change the email password
Unable to edit DNS zone

Basically, the dashboard is unusable.

Out of curiosity, I tested these four issues on our test cluster, and all of them are working fine. I did notice the file manager not working on one server while working fine on others. These kinds of hard-to-replicate bugs are the toughest and usually need more time to debug and fix for everyone. Maybe we’ll check back later after a week or two.

franco hey mate I have old cluster upgraded from v11 to v12 and all mentioned working on my cluster and also I have new cluster that again all that u mentioned above it’s working on my side!

Your problems/issues are not because of issues on the panel!

Thats also true i think Enhance can only improve and later on get more features from this point

No, sometimes the issues are tied to specific setups. We did a fresh vanilla v11 install and upgraded to v12, and there are still some issues. Honestly, we were expecting a lot more issues than the current ones, so I’d say they did a great job. They probably needed more time, but the community was pushing them hard, so I totally understand. Hopefully, the Enhance team will get the remaining issues ironed out soon.

cPFence yeah specific setups “ a user where he didn’t put ipv6 on the server forgot to put glue records on DNS servers etc and now they got issues “ !!! That’s seems for me specific setup

I also encountered some issues when upgrading to v12.

But luckily they released updates very quickly. So far there have been 17 updates.

The most critical thing I see is backups.

But it looks like an update is already in the works to fix the backups issue.

The problem I had with the license being "disconnected", leaving the panel unusable, I also reported to Adam.

This happened after I ran the last update, although I don't know if it's related.

I suspected it because all 26 connected servers were having the same problem.

After the last update, the control panel license "disconnected".

I had to edit and save the Enhance license again.

Yep i agree. I jumped right in, but that's because I can handle the bugs at the moment and haven't migrated all my clients yet. You can't just jump in a major release and expect it to be perfect not with Enhance not with any other software. We should be thankful that Enhance was on top of the bugs.

I’ve run into some issues, but I’m not complaining this was to be expected with such a release. Hats off to the Enhance team for the quick fixes and even putting in extra hours over the weekend to address the issues.

Spurious error when backing up a website with no email server assigned.
Document root permissions now checked/corrected after a website restore.
cPanel importer ui text corrections.
UI fixes for S3 backups.
Prevent duplicate spawning of website backup tasks under high load.

I believe that a good strategy will be to wait until the latest 12.0.X will be a week old.

I’m hoping future releases will clean up the repos that are no longer used (ie docker). At this time it’s a manual process.

xyzulu I think the problem there is some people may be using docker outside of enhance, so it cant be auto removed. The upgrade instructions do mention removing it if your not using it elsewhere

They only mention removing the package, not the repo.
