For me it's obvious that Enhance is still a small company and does not have much of development power (yet). I don't know how many people work for Enhance but it's obviously under-stuffed.

Having said that, I really do not have any complaints. Every single support request was handled fast and efficiently.

I agree though about long-lasting bugs that are easy to fix.

BUT, what made Enhance stand out for me (apart from it's intuitive interface and management) is that it's properly built. I was struggling with other panels, things did not work as expected, whereas in Enhance they did and it's something my partners also told me.

As someone said, Rome was not build in a day. I just wish that they have more development power so that things can go faster.

I could literally be that they hired additional developers which always slows down development for months while they get up to speed and make mistakes and ask a lot of questions.

As brooks' law states: Adding manpower to a late software project makes it later.

Personally, I'm very upset about this new roadmap!

We've been working with Enhance for over two years! We've been promised groupware features for over a year and a half! And now we can clearly see that it's not going to be a priority! I can still live without it!

But damn... at least the fact that the user can change their email password in webmail! It's an ultra-basic feature! Clients are always yelling at us because they can't let their employees do it themselves! It's unbearable!

For me, this time, the decision is made! For clients who want a simple email account, we'll continue with Enhance... but I'll get a professional email solution for the groupware features! Yet another platform to manage!

Enhance, please add the password change feature immediately!

Support for legacy PHP 5.2 - 5.5.

I'm thiking if the real priority are correctly thinked and listed by Enhance team!

thekendog You're right, backup logs not showing is a regression and will be included as a bug fix in an up coming release. It's likely that "the ability to disable a backup on a per website' basis would be part of the override feature which is "logged".

To everyone coming up with the idea that the larger players, are probably the ones who "sway" decisions.
I highly doubt any of these big players are willing to migrate with so many backup issues.
So definitely no.

@Aliysa_Enhance can you not just make a poll? We can all vote.. let's just be a democracy? lol

slimx big players will bring higher income, also big players coming is not only about using enhance for themselves (which at current state I doubt ), but it's about selling enhance as an option to their clients when they install the server (like cpanel,.please etc is being an option during sever installation).
This will bring more people to enhance and quite some income , so it's good to focus on that , but they should also focus on fixing the bugs

As Adam mentioned before, they're companies with large website counts. Typically, these customers require far less support while contributing significantly to keeping the platform sustainable. On the other hand, smaller companies/users pay considerably less but tend to generate many more support tickets, often related to general server administration rather than Enhance-specific issues. This type of client usually requires a lot of hand-holding and support resources.

cPanel, for instance, addressed this by significantly raising prices for smaller clients, but Enhance is still shouldering the support load for them. It’s an issue we all face in the industry.

bdd on my theory ? Can be any cloud - dedicated hosting company, hetzner , OVH etc I am talking about offering enhance as part of the installation process and selling license through them like they do with cpanel and plesk .
Now about using enhance I have my big doubts, at the current state , but once the product Improves it might happen

I REALLY wish Enhance would be less... welcoming... to these types of users. Call me elitist but if someone can't even figure out the terminal on their own they will never be useful to the community or profitable. It's like asking how to SUM a column in excel in a professional Excel forum. If you don't know the basics learn those first and join the basic communities.

Stackoverflow solved this issue. People wanting their code fixed instead of learning didn't usually stick around because their questions would get closed or downvoted heavily.

gmakhs If you're looking for software with an interface similar to cPanel, you might consider webuzo.
On the other hand, it's great that the Enhance staff doesn't censor discussions about other software that competes with theirs.

alenguav Webuzo is part of softaculus i am a user of softaculus and virtualizor since 2010 and its the WORSE company i ever had to work with i will never ever use any of their products EVER again.
Things they did :
1) Overcharge monthly fess never issued a refund , and i asked credits for future payments not actually refund
2) Bricked way to many servers while giving them access to fix something
3) They are pushing BETA updates on productions servers if you have auto update enabled (which it is by default)
4) Very bad company ethics

Enhance is less shady in terms of handling things, and seems to have higher potential in other terms webuzo doesn't solve any of the problems that come with Cpanel - DA - etc panels BUT Enhance does and thats why i am here

Yes, it’s working like a charm on production servers, and most of us here are running it live without issues. It’s also super easy to spin up a test and see for yourself, definitely worth revisiting.

P.S. As a rule of thumb, always take online discussions and reviews with a big spoon of salt. Test the software yourself and decide based on your own needs.

COLBYLICIOUS Depending on your USERS .
If your users as abusing using bad written scripts - GPL plugin AND you have big servers with high USER density enhance is NOT ready.
IF you have a cloud approach with multiple servers and your clients are not abusers (which you don't control always), enhance works well.
Hopefully enhance will do better in the future, so before you take the decision to switch check your current usage base, as an example if Cloudlinux is a major NEED for your servers (including their mysql governor) Enhance will bevery problematic for you
For VPS webhosting Enhance is perfect

gmakhs I agree. We used them for several years, both virtualizor and softaculous. They could literally never get the billing correct. Constantly had to monitor invoices, charges and such.

Bricked backup servers were a big problem, so no reliable restoration of VM...

Bricked backups of Softactulous installed sites (if using softaculous backups) - about 3/10 sites had this issue after only a short while.

When we moved our infrastructure from Proxmox to virtualizor, many problems came to us. We finally moved back to XCP-ng (we had utilized XenServer prior to ProxMox).

I have nothing bad to say about ProxMox, we simply prefer XCP-ng.
