Adrien Well, I've not used Imunify360 for some time, but according to the provided chart I have the following observations/questions (and bear in mind I have no dog in this fight. Each solution has pros and cons compared to others):
Security Coverage: cPGuard supports several panels as well as standalone so that's just incorrect. Perhaps it's an older comparison? It features a web based portal with server centralization (although configuration isn't yet so centralized.) Enhance itself doesn't yet have a plugin, but that's next for the list as long as I can convince them to provide it (should be fairly simple as cPGuard will probably help with the development on their side.) I'd love to see all three options rolled into Enhance the same time Imunify360 debuts!
Firewall: cPGuard has CSF/LFD integrated options. Is it better for CSF to handle the basic firewall or Imunify360's built in option? I'd say CSF because I know it better and it has great configuration flexibility.
Malware Scanner: What kind of gobbledygook does "behavior-based detection" mean? It doesn't sound like it impacts malware scanning much at all. In fact the only verbiage I can find with a search for "imunify360 behavior-based detection" is often repeated and says: "It uses machine learning technology and extensive, signature-based algorithms to identify patterns of abnormal behavior in near real-time to quickly prevent new attacks." It doesn't sound like anything better than other similar products. But what do I know?
Reputation Management: Provided by cPGuard since the years I've been using it, so that's either completely dishonest or very old.
Centralized Management: Already there and mentioned above.
Brute Force Protection: cPGuard as far as I've used it has provided login CAPTCHA protection as well as IP blocking. Their IPDB option (can be on our off) blocks known bad actors before it hits you too.
The last two entries are insignificant. The others addressed above are, like I said, either dishonest or very, very old.
I used to like CloudLinux, but for the past several years I've lost patience with all their protects. (Thankfully Enhance provides the same resource limitations now!) That said, if Imunify360 was the only integrated security, I would use it. However, it's not the only solution available (soon).
For what it's worth BitNinja had a sales guy get involved in my private email discussion from the interaction posted here, and he started promoting some sort of $1K and $3K balance cards to me to (temporarily of course) offset their higher pricing, which immediately turned me off! Same kind of aggressive sales techniques responsible for my leaving BitNinja. Are other techies like me dissuaded by that stuff or am I just the only one annoyed?
All of the three are probably providing much the same level of protection, and they improve all the time to stay ahead. I just like cPGuard for the pricing, their responsiveness, and quickly integrating new panels on request. Okay, so I maybe do have a dog in this fight after all! It's just not about the capabilities, rather their sales technique and somewhat about pricing.
