Yes we're still working toward support for ARM. The upcoming versions 11.0.0 and 12.0.0 simplify the service architecture and reduce the number of necessary packages which should make it possible to release a beta version for this architecture shortly after.

Never hosted on ARM so I'm hoping those with more real world experience can tell me:

Would this be appropiate for a woocommerce store or would it be more for mostly static wordpress sites? I know ARM has come a long way but I find it hard to believe it could handle very many concurrent requests that aren't being served via cache or CDN.

JohnB most woo content is dynamic and more cores is better esp for busy stores. with arm u get 1 core 3.0 1 thread but they are way cheaper. honestly we never had issues with our arm servers yet.

JohnB With any PHP application, higher core frequencies are better, in which current ARM processors do not particularly excel. The focus should be on cost/performance, so if it's a fairly large store, it should be better; if not, then no.

i did some tests on 2023, and didn't get better performance on big busy stores because of having many more arm cores.

always at the end the single core speed seems to be the mandatory for speed, and amount of cores to handle more traffic (if you need more).

but to stack as many customers as you can on one single server, yes, an ARM with lots of cores can be worth it.

adil Of course, ARM for PHP has much worse performance, but it can help reduce costs for servers with roles such as dns, backup or email.

Any update/timeframe on this? (at least estimated- 1m/1y). This is the only thing stopping us from adopting enhance since we run multiple arm servers. We currently use caprover, but enhance would be the ideal solution.

With the changes made in version 12.0.0 we're very very close to supporting ARM. It will almost certainly be this year.
