Hello Everyone,

Are there some other Enhance users struggling like me using Upmind? I always have an issue using Upmind.
The problem that I face is that each time I ask for support they always reply to me according to their own Upmind logic and not common sense. Their logic is illogical to me.

For example, I can't even adjust a wrong invoice and invoice the missing amount
A message displays on my customer dashboard that is irrelevant just because they got 1 month free, they see: "
This web hosting will automatically renew June 1, 2023." But we are on the 25th of June.

Overall I very much struggle to find a simple straightforward invoicing system for Enhance.

I wish Enhance could integrate with Stripe. I do not need a complicated and confusing solution. This issue is really holding me back.

Thank you for your feedback.

PS: The purpose of this message is NOT to criticize Upmind but to see whether of not I am the only one in this situation. If so, this means I am doing something wrong. If we all are, this will help me too mentally :-)

A big vote for built in invoicing system in Enhance. It will be super cool.

From my understanding, from an accountancy perspective, once an invoice has been issued it's a legal document and meant to be immutable. This means that if something needs to change, the invoice needs to be re-issued, or in the case of an amount being wrong you'd have a credit note and then a new invoice.

Darren Thanks Darren for bringing this fundamental. You're very right. Now from my perspective when I chose Upmind I didn't choose an accounting solution. I chose a convenient system for my clients to purchase my hosting products (online shop) and provision their package on Enhance.
For accounting, companies usually have a dedicated solution such as Quickbooks or Xero...

If you look at Upmind's home page it is defined as a "billing, sales, and automation platform for service businesses".
I was not expecting the solution to be as rigid as an accounting solution following accounting principles. I was looking at something versatile, user-friendly, and straightforward which I feel is the case with Enhance.

Adrien I get you 100%, we use to use Sage, the most top-tier accountancy solution available, and that let you edit invoices no issue. Upmind is so rigid it’s not usable in a lot of situations. I think it’s a cop out to be honest, WHMCS, etc all web hosting management tools let you edit invoices, I just don’t think Upmind can implement that change. Even invoicing tools like Xero etc let you edit invoices lol.

It’s one of the reasons I’m heading back to WHMCS soon, too expensive(like 15$ per support seat, lmao!), not flexible enough, and is slowing innovation for us, it’s taken Upmind months to add/update the smallest thing, which I could’ve done within a few hours on WHMCS.

I’m still waiting for provision groups, a simple fundamental function, I’m manually provisioning SSL(s), currently, my new WHMCS build does all of this automatically and it only took me two hours to write a module for SSL(s).

Adding onto this, a few of my peers in web hosting have the same sentiments and either didn’t move to Upmind or are planning to leave soon once they’ve got WHMCS ready.

To clarify this isn’t a bitch post aimed at Upmind at all, I just don’t think a solution you have zero customisation over, zero control or access to as a SaaS product will be usable in this industry where innovation requires rapid development.

What do you guys think of HostBill as a solution? We are on Upmind, but due to the slow development, are thinking of moving either back to WHMCS or HostBIll.

Zoinkies Hello Zoinkies, Thanks a lot for your reply and feedback.
I would also like to add that I was never able to understand any Upmind release notes. When they upgrade stuff, they publish the release notes on their community but i was never able to understand what was done exactly.
I may move to WHMC too but this is frustrating because my basic need was a simple Enhance integration with Stripe. Stripe has everything built in to remind payments, suspend and cancel subscriptions.

Adrien I think Upmind like to fluff their update log with jargon to make it look like there's progress tbh.

PradeepC imagine waiting so long for an integration you can make yourself in a few hours on WHMCS.

Thanks @Zoinkies @PradeepC for your valuable feedback. I've decided to get rid of all WHMCS, Upmind etc... as unpractical middleman bloat. I will provision manually and manage all the rest through Stripe.

I will wait for Enhance to decide to finally offer a simple Stripe Integration to auto-provision.

Adrien This is what Nestify does. Manages payments through Stripe subscriptions and then everything else is on their panel.

Hey guys, Seb here from Upmind. Just giving this a reply here to say we acknowledge the feedback. Our stage at Upmind is that we're building out functionality and lots of it behind the scenes which is super foundational, but frustratingly (for us and for our users) sometimes doesn't translate into how things work on the frontend.

The biggest win we could have in terms of what seems like bugs (like immutability/deleting invoices/changing things, and also the way things look and feel confusing) is for us to basically spend a couple of months simplifying things from a usability perspective. We'd love to do that so much, but at the same time if we do that we shoot ourselves in the foot long-term.

We're probably another six months of 'beta' before some of these foundational things start rapidly translating into real-life functionality and we can then really start focusing on making things straightforward.

Seb this is getting political...You ignore people's question on your own community but come here to defend your piece of the cake. That's not fair for the end users.

Anyways I know you're very close to Enhance and in my opinion this limits the possibility for Enhance to innovate in this field. We are in 2023 and third party provisionning solutions like WHMC etc...don't make sense anymore.

You will see soon what RunCloud is coming up with. They will integrate all the billing.

We should have direct Stripe integration with Enhance. I keep saying this since day 1.
