For me, this discussion about Ubuntu vs AlmaLinux ends up being secondary.
I like AlmaLinux and I’ve adapted well to Ubuntu. Both are solid and reliable systems. But, honestly, what concerns me most today is no longer which distro is underneath, but rather seeing the roadmap move forward and new features being delivered consistently.
Our clients don’t ask us which operating system we use.
They ask whether the service is reliable, fast, secure, solves problems, and keeps improving.
That’s what really matters in day-to-day work.
If Enhance wants to do things differently, that’s great — but let it be different where it truly matters:
focusing on users, service providers, and end customers.
I don’t mind whether the path goes through Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, or something else, as long as there is a solid foundation and a clear direction forward. What matters is continuity, predictability, and real improvements that help us deliver better services.
In the end, what will set Enhance apart from other control panels is not the distro running underneath, but:
- the quality of the product
- how it evolves
- the attention given to the community
- and the ability to deliver on what is promised
If Enhance genuinely cares about the people who use it every day and the customers who depend on us, everyone wins.
And that’s how something truly different is built — through execution, not just words.
