We met with Bitninja at CloudFest. They actually worked side by side with an Enhance customer on a test integration during the event.

Fundamentally it looks like Bitninja will work with Enhance, it just requires a little integration work from both sides to make it usable in production.

They were also dressed as ninjas during the event which was pretty cool!

Not sure if they keep their same practices they had years ago, some discussion about this in other hosting related forums.

But still it would be best to improve Enhance itself security, or easy to use other free security like CSF, than falling back to the same as Cpanel, where you pretty much need a license for everything (security, backups, web server, mail managment), etc.

It's been our ethos so far (with the hard resource limits, PHP containers, backups, etc) that you shouldn't need to pay for 3rd party tools in the same way you need to with other control panels.

However there are customers moving to Enhance who have an affinity or an existing relationship with specific 3rd party software, specifically it seems when it comes to WAF/malware. Therefore where integrations are relatively easy we intend to support these tools so that customers have the choice to use them or not.

markbacsko Nice to see a security vendor here! I began with BitNinja years ago, but moved to Imunify360 and then cPGuard.

Whatever is first to completely support Enhance will probably be my choice as long as it's affordable. We smaller hosts are being nickeled and dimed like crazy lately, and in today's market I am sensitive to our clients' pricing.

It might be nice if you can demystify your pricing? For example "41-250 HOSTED USERS" is $36/mo, but Enhance can distribute web/db/email to three different servers. So basically if we have 41 hosted clients we're going to be paying 108/mo? Enhance costs are per users/containerized websites without per server fees. BitNinja should do likewise to fit nicely into Enhance IMO. I can host our clients on 10 servers or 100 and Enhance costs the same for the same number of websites.

At bulk pricing we pay $5.50/mo per server. I'm currently working on standalone cPGuard which needs very little work to integrate. How competitive can BitNinja be for 50+ servers and how is it better?

markbacsko Hello, BitNinja looks excellent. However, adopting BitNinja would require me to pay twice as much compared to the bulk price of Immunify 360.

If you think the features/performance of BitNinja VS Immunify 360 justifies a 100% increase on the bill, I'd be interested in taking a test.

From reading your website, it looks like BitNinja:

Offers the black-and-white lists both for server clusters or on a per-server basis, whereas it still isn’t a fully streamlined experience for Immunify360
Is less resource intensive VS Immunify and with a better Engine (+Yara)

This article was interesting. However, it does not mention that BitNinja costs double the price of Immunify. That's my only point of friction.

Great to see this much interest in BitNinja! I'll try to answer all of the raised questions with this comment. 🙂

Pricing vol. 1 and 2: Currently we calculate our pricing by the number of hosted users. (Any user that isn't a system user, or has a home directory). Now, we have also introduced VPS pricing that applies to users with smaller machines (with the lowest tier being free!), and besides this, we also offer bulk pricing starting from 5 servers ($5/10/14/20 vs the original $12/$24/$36/$48, which I think will help the adoptation on your end Adrien!) to help smaller businesses and vps providers gain back some margins. I do understand that pricing is a cornerstone in this project, especially when every vendor and partner keeps raising their prices. Now, while at this point in development, we have not yet explored different pricing possibilities for Enhance users, it's definitely something we will go over internally to better suit the needs of the Enhance community. 🚀
Integration: Currently BitNinja needs a few tweaks to work with Enhance panel. While this is by no means an official release date (Really, please don't hold it against me or I'll have some very angry developers here haha 😃), we are hoping to have a working agent done in the next 2 weeks, if all goes well. 🚀

Once again, I'm humbled by the interest so far, thank you for being an active member of the Enhance community!

markbacsko One thing I would like to ask here. If we provide Bitninja to a customer on a VPS, and he has only one account/website, then for how many users will we be billed 1 or 2? (considering root user is always present on all systems!)

FYI for what it's worth, cPGuard integration will be available soon too.

At this point I know how to access the needed data via the API, and the cPGuard team is going to begin the integration code work.

Seems we might have both BitNinja and cPGuard support before Imunify360!

We do not consider "root" user as an additional user, so they will only have 1 user (if all goes well). ✅

I'm just bringing some updates: We plan to release our agent TODAY! That means, at that point we will officially support Enhance. For the UI integration, we are working closely with the Enhance team to make it happen as soon as possible. ☺️
